What is?

Hair loss is a condition that affects people's social life due to their external appearance. The most common type of hair loss known is male pattern hair loss. In male pattern hair loss, hair strands first become thinner, their colors become lighter, become sparse, and eventually the hair follicle disappears completely. For this reason, prp or mesotherapy applications will give better results in the early period.

Hair transplantation is a natural and permanent solution to the problem of thinning and baldness in people with hair loss or hair loss. The process of transferring healthy hair follicles to areas where the hair follicle is no longer active and where balding occurs, using microsurgical methods is called hair transplantation. In hair transplantation, the patient's own healthy hair is added to the spilled area. Hair transplantation is planned and applied completely individually. With the hair transplantation operation, the hair follicles that are resistant to shedding are collected in the nape area of the patient and transplanted into the channels opened in the thinning or completely shedding parts. Aim; It is to give a permanent hairy appearance in a natural way that will not be obvious when the planting is done in the head area. Hair transplantation is actually a minor surgical operation. For this reason, it is the safest way to do it in a hospital environment by specialist and experienced doctors and team. With the hair transplantation application, the person's own hair is permanently gained as if it has never been lost.

In the first stage of the operation, the hairy tissue and the area to be transplanted are planned first. The front hairline is determined according to the face structure of the person and the type of hair loss. The hairy area is shaved. Local anesthesia is applied.

In the second stage, hair follicles are extracted as follicular units with special motorized devices developed for this procedure in the area between the two ears in the nape area, where life-long loss is not expected. The carefully removed hair follicles are placed in petri dishes prepared under sterile conditions. The extracted hair follicles are preserved in various solutions during the period between the removal of the hair follicles and their transplantation.

In the third stage, channels are opened in the area to be planted.

Two methods are used in hair transplantation, namely Sapphire pen and DHI pen. These are sowing methods. In both, the root collection method is called FUE. If the DHI method is to be preferred after the roots are taken, the hair is transplanted to the skin with DHI pens. If sapphire is to be used, first the channels are opened to the places where the roots will be placed with sapphire pens, and then the roots are placed in the channels. The direction and frequency of the channels is the most important factor affecting the success of hair transplantation. The small size of the canal allows the hair follicles to be fully seated in the skin. The direction of the channels should show in accordance with the natural hair directions. It will provide a natural appearance as a result of planting with sufficient frequency and appropriate distribution.

The result of the application; It varies depending on the width of the hair loss area, the number of transplanted roots, whether the root reserve in the nape area is sufficient, the thickness of the hair follicles, the color of the hair and the method used, and the experience of the application. The transplanted hair is expected to remain for life.

Sowing method can be applied not only on the scalp, but also on all areas with hair on the body, such as eyebrows, mustache or beard.

The transplant operation takes about 6-8 hours. Since the procedure is performed with local anesthesia, the person will be awake and not feel pain. After the operation, the transplanted area is not closed. The area where the hair is taken is covered with antibiotic creams and the bandages are removed on the first day after sowing. Treatments are given to prevent the development of infection and edema after the operation.

The patient can go home immediately after the operation. There is no washing for the first 2 days after the procedure. 2 days after the procedure, the first wash is done with special lotions and shampoos under our control. It is recommended to wash daily until the 10th day and to remove the crusts with massage movements on the 10th day. The transplanted hair starts to shed 3-4 weeks after the operation. The transplanted hair follicles begin to grow and grow again over time. The clearest result after transplantation is observed between 9-12 months after the operation.
